Wherever possible, stick to using the Rocket Launcher since there are plenty of Infinite Rocket Launcher Ammo chests dotted around the map but don't be afraid to use the Minigun, Devastator or Cannon if you get really stuck. Once his health is down to 5% and has been stunned (he will slump forward for a few seconds) charge your Cannon and fire off a couple of shots to kill him. Between Lightning strikes, Ugh-Zan's health will fully regenerate but don't worry as it only takes 6 Lightning strike barrages to kill him. Do note though, that you can only carry 1 pole at a time so will only have time for one shot. You will have to stick about 5 or 6 poles into Ugh-Zan's Back to attract enough lightning to stun him but you will only have time to throw 1 or 2 at him before the Sandwhale retreats for a bit and he turns his focus back to you. To kill Ugh-Zan, you have to wait until the Sandwhale shows up and engages him in open combat then you must pick up a pole from one of the piles (the nearest one is across from where the Jetpack was stored) and throw it into his Back so the lighting bolts from from the storm clouds will zap him. All of these attacks can kill you in 1-2 hits so to avoid a messy death, keep your distance and stay on the move so he doesn't have a stationary target to shoot at but you should also keep an eye out for the many high level enemies which are now pouring into the area and deal with them appropriately. Ugh-Zan's attacks are few but deadly since he has a Plasma Cannon on his Left Shoulder, a Fireball Cannon on his Right Shoulder and will stamp on you if you get too close to his legs. You won't take any fall damage should you accidentally let go of so don't worry about that.Īs soon as you pick up the Jetpack, take off and get as far away from that building as possible because Ugh-Zan will shortly be levelling it and kill you in the process. If your Jetpack overheats, then you won’t be able takeoff and will be a sitting duck for every enemy in the area but to cool it down, land in a far corner of the map for a few seconds and take off when the bar has gone down a bit. This is the heat gauge for the Jetpack and shows how hot it's getting. Inbetween the Armour and Health bars in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen, you will see a red icon and an energy bar. Tap = Maintain altitude and your Jetpack's heat level. See below for a full boss fight walkthrough:Īfter the boss's intro cutscene is over, turn round 180 degrees then head into the building to your right and pick up the Jetpack because without it, you can’t defeat the boss. Mental will be throwing everything he has at you so expect to see virtually every enemy type you've seen thus far but the hardest bit is the final boss fight, since there will be a never ending stream of enemies and the boss (Ugh-Zan IV) can only be hurt by getting hit by Lightning. Now, stock up on ammo and health then go and pick up the Cannon that’s behind the Infinite C4 ammo crate. Once the cutscene has finished, run like crazy to the entrance of the canyon (though you may have to turn round before you can see it) to avoid the Sandwhale that's chasing you.
